The West Valley volleyball team suffered its sixth straight setback with a 25-19, 25-19, 25-20 loss to visiting Hartnell Friday night. The Vikings (4-9) fell behind early in all three sets against the Panthers (11-7) and, despite rallying in all three, were unable to overcome their opponents from Salinas.
West Valley closes out non-conference action Wednesday (10/5) with a 3:00pm tilt against visiting Butte (4-13) and then opens Coast Conference competition with a three-match road trip starting at Monterey Peninsula (8-3) on Oct. 14. First serve at MPC is 6:30pm.
