Coach Lauren Hickey welcomed back seven former West Valley tennis players last week for the first-ever Viking Tennis Alumni Celebration.

What was slated to be a day of doubles at the WVC Tennis Complex was rained out and moved to the auxiliary gymnasium for a pickleball tournament.

Alumni Sonya Hu (2022-23), Brynn McKenzie (2022-23), Olivia Ocher (2019-20), Lavanika Sharma (2023), Tal Volinsky (2022-23), Seraphina Vossen (2021-22) and Katie Watts (2019-2020) teamed with current team players...and two athletic trainers...for a bracketed doubles tourney with slightly different balls and rackets.

The afternoon concluded with Hickey providing pizza to the hungry combatants.
