Davis rains 26 on Storm in 85-53 win over Napa Valley
Coast-South MVP Jake Davis leads the WVC charge into the playoffs
Jake Davis scored West Valley's first five points and didn't let up, scoring 26 to lead the Vikings to a methodical 85-53 win over Napa valley Wednesday at Bob Burton Court. West Valley (9-2) raced out to an insurmountable 47-28 lead at halftime behind 14 first-half points from Davis and eight from Caleb Asante. The outmanned Storm (1-11) were unable to shut down Davis after the break, as he drained a trio of treys, three of WVC's eight second-half threes. West Valley would finish with 12 buckets from beyond.
Every Viking in uniform saw action, with four players reaching double figures. Bryce Buchanan followed Davis with 13 points, while Robel Zemmo finished with 12 and Asante had 10. Ryan Roth hit two long second-half threes.
West Valley heads to Hayward Friday (12/13) to take on Chabot (7-2). Tipoff is 7:00pm.
