Vikings ruin Renegades for Piatt’s 300th career win
Coach Vicky Piatt will tell anyone Tuesday's 10-2 win at Ohlone was important because it was a key Coast Conference win against a tough opponent. She won't mention the win was her 300th as the skipper and face of West Valley softball.
The win kept the Vikings (26-5, 8-2 Coast) within striking distance of a Coast title and served as payback for a listless 6-3 home loss to the Renegades (17-16, 4-7) March 5.
And, it was Piatt's 300th win.
Since 2010, Piatt has gone 300-211-3, averaging more than 21 wins per season with two Coast championships (2012, 2015) and seven NorCal playoff appearances.
