Five West Valley teams - men's water polo, women's water polo, women's tennis, women's swimming and volleyball - captured Coast Conference championships in 2022-23, running WVC's two-year total to 11. Three Vikings teams, men's basketball, men's swimming and softball, finished in second, with basketball and softball just a single game back.

Alec Mortensen won a pair of individual state swimming titles, men's water polo finished second in the state, and women's water polo was third. Basketball returned to the CCCAA State Championship tournament for the second straight year. Viking tennis was a perfect 12-0 in the Coast, while softball was 12-2 and spent much of the season ranked in the state's top five.

In 2021-22, men's water polo, women's water polo, volleyball, men's and women's swimming, and basketball all won Coast titles. Women's water polo won the state title, and basketball, men's water polo and volleyball all finshed as state runners-up.
