Vikings come up short in spirited match vs Canada

SARATOGA - On Saturday afternoon WVC men's soccer took to the pitch hosting Canada College.
A chippy first half led to four yellow cards (two each) and a lot of back and forth, intense action. The Vikings' Omar Rodriguez put one in the back of the net that got disallowed due to an offside call. Both teams were scoreless heading to the second half.
The Colts came out with a purpose to begin the second half of play and scored in the 51st minute on a goal by Mikel Gonzalez.
A late push in the last 10 minutes by WVC was not enough and the Vikings lost 0-1.
