It was "two-for Tuesday" at Valhalla as West Valley scorched the base-paths with nine doubles in its 20-4 win over Gavilan. The Vikings (21-6, 7-0 Coast-South) collected 19 hits and 20 RBI against the Rams (8-19, 3-4), but two-baggers were the order of the day.

The Vikings scored in each of the first six innings and mounted a 20-0 lead before giving up four runs to the Rams in the top of the 7th. Isaac Hawthrone had three doubles, Andrew Bonfigli and Carmelo Rivera each finished with two, and Trevon Jones and Charlie Kuwada had one apiece. Bonfigli, Hawthrone and Rivera each had three hits, while Kenji Colston and Kai Laxa had two apiece.

Four Vikings - Bonfigli, Rivera, David Estrada and Colin Spear - recorded three RBI and Kuwada added two. WVC starter Adrian Valdez hurled six shutout innings, surrendering just four singles and striking out eight to move to 5-0.

The Vikings head to Gavilan Thursday (3/27) for game two of the three-game set and then host the Rams Saturday. First pitch Thursday is 2:30pm; Saturday starts at 1:00pm.
