West Valley baseball standout James Bose was named the 2023-24 3C2A Scholar-Athlete, along with El Camino swimmer Mia Park, the 3C2A announced today. Bose was a crucial cog in West Valley's epic journey to the 2024 state championship tournament, where the Vikings, ultimately, would finish third. He was an All-NorCal and All-Coast 1st Team selection and earned a spot on the Rawlings ABCA Gold Glove team. The Leigh High School product is continuing has academic and baseball career at Loyola Marymount University.

The 3C2A also announced Viking tennis player Lindsay Lee is on the 2023-24 Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. Lee, the winner of last year's prestigious ITA Arthur Ashe Award for academic and athletic excellence, is now at UCLA.

The West Valley basketball team, the undefeated 2024 state champions, was named the 2023-24 Scholar Team for men's basketball. Coach Danny Yoshikawa's Vikings finished the season 33-0 and became the fifth team in the 77-year history of the 3C2A to be crowned undefeated champions.
