Vikings move to 6-0 in the Coast with 16-1 win over Ohlone

With just one conference contest remaining, the West Valley women's water polo team is eying its 7th straight unbeaten regualr season Coast Conference championship. Wednesday's 16-1 home win over Ohlone (0-6, 0-6 Coast) moved the Vikings (14-4, 6-0) closer to one of its preseason goals.
Grace Appler topped the WVC stat sheet with a career-high three goals, along with two steals. Madiha Smallcombe also had a trio of goals and a pair of thefts, while Ava Grays recorded two goals and two assists. Alicia Vernon had a goal, a team-high three assists and two steals. Goalkeeper Kayla Tweed stopped ten Renegade shots to improve to 14-4 on the season.
The Vikings can wrap up an undefeated regular season conference mark Friday at City College of San Francisco (2-3, 2-3). The ball drops at 3:00pm.
