Mahi named 3C2A Men’s Athlete of the Year
West Valley's Elijah Mahi is the 3C2A 2023-24 Men's Athlete of the Year, the California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA) announced today. A two-time All-State, All-NorCal, All-Coast and All-State Tournament selection, Mahi led the 33-0 Vikings to the 2024 3C2A state basketball championship in May.
He was named the WVC Men's Athlete of the Year and was the Coast-South MVP in 2024. Mahi, who's heading to Santa Clara University on scholarship this fall, is the first West Valley athlete to earn the prestigious CCCSIA honor, which annually recognizes one male and one female athlete from the 3C2A's 25 sports.
